Inside Track- Aer Arann passenger figures plummet and routes threatened
Aer Arann's Dublin passenger figures have plummeted in 2009, according to figures obtained by Business & Finance. Its traffic through Dublin airport fell 38.8% (from 270,823 to 165,767) between January and June compared to the same period last year, Dublin Airport Authority's most recent passenger traffic report reveals.

Ireland should focus on attracting more Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF) investment to provide additional capital in the medium term for the economy as it tries to work its way out of recession. New research from the Houses of the Oireachtas says that Ireland should develop a "value proposition" to maximise SWF investment in order to reduce reliance on taxpayer funding.
