Alan "AG" Lafley: The Procter & Gamble Company
Alan "AG" Lafley was elected chairman of Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 2002, in addition to his responsibilities as president and CEO since 2000. Born in Keene, New Hampshire, in 1947, Lafley graduated from Hamilton College with a BA in history in 1969. After serving in the US Navy for five years, he went on to receive an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Aurora Berra: GlaxoSmithKline
Dr Aurora Berra is the newly appointed general manager of GlaxoSmithKline Ireland (GSK). GSK is an international pharmaceutical company with a strong heritage in this country, employing 1,600 people in four sites in Cork, Waterford and Dublin.
Bernard Poussot: Wyeth
On July 24th, at the second Business & Finance US Awards, Bernard Poussot accepted the award for Outstanding Contribution to Ireland on behalf of Wyeth, a global leader in prescription pharmaceuticals, non-prescription consumer healthcare products and pharmaceuticals for animal health - and Ireland's largest pharmaceutical employer. Since January 1st, 2008, Poussot has been at the helm of Wyeth, acting as president and chief executive officer. On June 27th, he was also made chairman of the board when Robert Essner stepped down from the position.
David J O'Reilly: Chevron Corp
After graduating with a degree in chemical engineering from University College Dublin in 1968, David J O'Reilly (61) joined Chevron as a process engineer. He held positions of increasing importance and responsibility and, by 1989, he had risen through the ranks to become senior vice-president and COO of Chevron Chemical Co, before being elected vice-president of Chevron Corp with responsibility for strategic planning in 1991.

Fred Hassan is chairman of the board and CEO of the Schering-Plough Corporation, a global healthcare company. Following the acquisition in November 2007 of Organon BioSciences (OBS), a Dutch human health (Organon) and animal health (Intervet) company, Schering-Plough now encompasses approximately 50,000 staff around the world. Its products reach patients and care-givers in more than 140 countries.
