Round Up: US jobless rises
The number of US workers filing for jobless benefits unexpectedly rose, but another big gain in productivity in the fourth quarter offered hope that companies were getting close to adding to their workforce. President Obama has acknowledged that there is a lot of work to do to tackle the growing jobs crisis in the US.
