Deirdre Somers: Irish Stock Exchange
Deirdre Somers, a chartered accountant, was appointed to the position of chief executive of the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) in April 2007. The 42-year-old native of Cork graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Cork in 1987 and joined KPMG, becoming a manager in KPMG Financial Services where she specialised in international tax.
Dermot Desmond: IIU
Billionaire investor, Dermot Desmond has become one of Ireland's leading financial titans and ranks 462 among Forbes's World's Richest People in 2008 with an estimated net worth of $2.5 billion. The 58-year-old was born in Cork and moved to Dublin at the age of six. He was educated at Scoil Mhuire in Marino and at Good Counsel College in New Ross.

John Reynolds: KBC Bank Ireland
John Reynolds (51) is chief executive of KBC Bank Ireland plc. He took up the position in March 2009, succeeding Ted Marah on his retirement. Given the turbulent economic environment, KBC Bank Ireland has performed exceptionally well over the last year. In the first nine months of 2009, KBC Bank Ireland contributed 10% (€68 million) of the €680m profits reported by its parent company, Belgian bank KBC Group NV, during that period.

Pat Molloy was appointed to the Bank of Ireland board of directors on June 10th, 2009 and was appointed chairman the following July 3rd. He was group chief executive of Bank of Ireland from 1991 to 1998 and subsequently served as a non-executive director from 1998 to 2001.
Patrick Honohan: Central Bank of Ireland
Patrick Honohan is the 10th Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland and was appointed on September 26th, 2009. Before his appointment as Governor, he was Professor of International Financial Economics and Development at Trinity College Dublin, from 2007. Prior to this, he spent almost a decade at the World Bank, where he was senior advisor on financial sector policy.
