Providence appoint new CFO

Providence Resources have appointed Simon Brett as their new Chief Financial Officer with immediate effect.
Simon previously held the position of Group Financial Controller of Providence and has worked at the Oil and gas exploration company since 2008. He previously held positions with Damovo Ireland and Coca Cola Ireland as well as Johnson Wax Sega Europe in the UK.
Commenting on the announcement Providence CEO Tony O'Reilly Jr said; "Simon has proven to be a very effective manager of the Providence finance function and I am very pleased that he has taken up this new opportunity at what is a very exciting time of Providence's corporate development."
Providence recently announced that they are in the process of raising US$100 million dollars from investors following the Barryroe oil find.
